Jay-Z was charged in 2000 in the sexual assault case of a minor involving Sean “Diddy” Combs

Music mogul Sean “Jay-Z” Carter has been named in a lawsuit filed by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee that alleges he and rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000.

The anonymous accuser, identified as Jane Doe in court documents obtained by TMZ, claims the assault occurred at an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards.

An earlier lawsuit filed in October named only Combs as the perpetrator. The Bad Boy Records founder remains in prison after being charged with racketeering and sex trafficking in September. He is also accused of sexual assault in several court cases.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing lawsuits from seven new accusers, according to his lawyer

According to Jay-Z’s company Roc Nation, the lawsuit is an extortion attempt. His full statement:

Attorney Tony Buzbee provided a response statement to Fox 26. His full statement:

Mr. Carter has previously denied being the one who sued me and my company. He even filed his frivolous case under a pseudonym. What he fails to mention in his most recent statement is that my office sent his attorney a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never asked him for a dime. Instead, she simply sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on their behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but has attempted to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His behavior had the opposite effect. She is encouraged. I am very proud of her determination. Regarding the allegations in the filed complaint, we will let the filing speak for itself and present the facts in court and not in the media.
