Jordyn Tyson Injury Update: Kenny Dillingham delivers unfortunate news about Arizona State WR

Arizona State will be without one of its most important offensive weapons in the Big 12 Championship Game Iowa Statewith trainer Kenny Dillingham Confirmation of the recipient Jordyn Tyson was operated on on Tuesday.

SunDevilSource.com’s Chris Karpman reported the news and noted that Dillingham said Tyson would be out for the season.

“We look forward to getting him back next year,” Dillingham said.

Jordyn Tyson was unstoppable at times for the Sun Devils. He has compiled five 100-yard receiving games this season with a total of 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 109 touchdowns. That kind of production will be sorely missed as Arizona State competes for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Before coming to Arizona State, Tyson had a productive season at Colorado in 2022.

During his time with the Buffaloes, Jordyn Tyson recorded 22 catches for 470 yards and four touchdowns, an impressive feat for a true freshman.

Before enrolling in college, Jordyn Tyson was ranked as a three-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class and ranked No. 798 among all recruits nationally. He also reported as the No. 119 receiver in the class and No. 115 player overall from the state of Texas coming from Frisco (TX) Independence.

The 2024 Big 12 Championship Game between Arizona State and Iowa State will be played on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. ET, with a broadcast scheduled for ABC.
