Josh Allen sets the record for most rushing TDs in Bills history

Josh Allen continues to rewrite the NFL record books as he puts in a serious effort in his MVP season.

The quarterback tied Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas for the most rushing touchdowns (65) in Buffalo Bills history. This makes the seven-year veteran clearly one of the best Bills players of all time.

Allen scored on a 1-yard tush to give Thomas a 7-0 lead over the New York Jets on Sunday. The score credits Allen with 530 yards and 12 TDs in 2024.

Allen, the seventh overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, had 4,125 rushing yards in 109 games prior to the game against the Jets.

Equaling Thomas, a key player during the Bills’ Super Bowl era, places Allen among the Bills’ greatest players of all time.

Thurman Thomas’ career rushing stats for Bills

Thomas, who eclipsed OJ Simpson as the Bills’ top running back, ran for 11,938 yards and 65 touchdowns in 11 seasons in Buffalo from 1988 to 1999. Allen is currently fifth on the Bills’ all-time rushing list.
