According to NBC News, the now 55-year-old rapper is accused in an amended statement of claim filed on Sunday, December 8, of assaulting the unnamed teenager along with Sean “Diddy” Combs at a house party in Manhattan.

The lawsuit was reportedly originally filed in October, but Jay-Z was not named at the time.

The plaintiff has alleged that Jay-Z and Diddy – who is currently in prison awaiting trial after being charged with sex trafficking, extortion and transporting for prostitution – took turns posing as an unnamed woman after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000 raped had observed celebrity.

Both Diddy and Jay-Z were believed to have been in their early 30s at the time, and Diddy, along with several others, had previously denied this allegation and pleaded not guilty to the above charges.

Jay-Z responded to the allegations via his Roc Nation X account on Monday, branding the plaintiff’s claims a “blackmail attempt.”

“My lawyer received an extortion attempt, a so-called demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he calculated was the nature of these allegations and public scrutiny would make me agree,” Jay-Z wrote.

“No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you VERY publicly for the scam. So no, I will not give you a RED PENNY!!” he continued. “These allegations are so heinous that I am asking you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil complaint!! Whoever would commit such a crime against a minor should be imprisoned, don’t you agree?”

“I have no idea how you became such a deplorable human being, Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you that I have seen your kind many times. I’m more than willing to deal with your type,” Jay-Z added. “You claim to be a Marine?! Marines are known for their bravery, they have no honor or dignity.”

Jay-Z went on to reference his wife Beyoncé and their three children – 12-year-old Blue Ivy and seven-year-old twins Sir and Rumi – as he wrote: “My only sorrow is for my family.”

“My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is at the age where their friends will certainly see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain people’s cruelty and greed,” Jay said Z

“I mourn another loss of my innocence. Children shouldn’t have to endure this at a young age,” he continued. “It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable levels of evil designed to destroy families and the human spirit.”
