Justin Jefferson had encouraging words for Caleb Williams after Vikings-Bears

The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears on Monday night to improve their season record to 12-2. After the game, Justin Jefferson sought out Caleb Williams on the field to give him a few words of encouragement.

It was a difficult evening for Williams, who took some tough hits throughout the game. Jefferson desperately tried to lift the rookie’s spirits by telling him he had a bright future in the league. As the two hugged after the game, Jefferson could be overheard praising Williams.

“Good luck to you, dog. You’re a killer, boy! Do your thing, boy, God bless you,” Jefferson said.

After a 4-2 start to the season, the Bears have lost eight straight games. Williams didn’t throw an interception during their losing streak, but was sacked 38 times and took some significant hits from defenders. On Monday, he completed 19 of 31 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Jefferson, who caught seven passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in Minnesota’s win, encouraged Williams to keep doing what he’s doing and showed the respect he had for the reigning No. 1 after their second meeting of the season.
