Kai Cenat accuses Twitch of preventing him from streaming Rolling Loud due to too many viewers

Popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has claimed that the platform rejected his request to stream Rolling Loud performances, citing his large viewership as the main reason. In a recent livestream, Cenat shared his frustration and explained how unfair the decision felt.

“Chat, I can’t respond to anything related to Rolling Loud or Amazon Music,” Cenat said, reporting Twitch’s response. “They said… bro, those are the exact words my n***a… ‘Cause you got a lot of viewers.’ So anyone but me can respond to it.”

Rolling Loud is one of the largest hip-hop music festivals in the world. Founded in 2015, the festival showcases some of the biggest names in rap and hip-hop as well as emerging artists. It has grown worldwide, with events in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and international destinations such as Europe and Asia.

Cenat expressed confusion over the decision, arguing that allowing the event to stream would bring more attention to the festival. “I think it’s good for the festival. But all the festivals don’t allow me to respond to this shit because I attract more viewers and that pisses them off,” he said.

The streamer clarified that Twitch itself was not directly to blame, pointing out that the concern lies in possible DMCA strikes and copyright issues from organizers. “People would DMCA me, copyright me… and I would lose my airplay and my channel,” Cenat explained.

Cenat’s claims highlight the ongoing problems with copyright restrictions for creators, particularly those with large platforms. He pointed out that while smaller streamers might be able to share such content, its wide reach complicates things for festivals and their partners.

Cenat, who recently announced he has a girlfriend, continues to navigate the challenges of being one of Twitch’s most prominent creators while balancing personal and professional growth.
