KFC introduces new tender concept – when and where it will open

Tongues will click.

KFC will open a new spinoff concept called Saucy in Orlando on Monday – focusing on the brand’s chicken fillets and a range of sauces.

“Everyone is obsessed with sauce – more is more,” said KFC representative Christophe Poirier.

Saucy has 11 dips to choose from – a nod to the many herbs and spices in Colonel Sanders’ original recipe.

He added that the experimental company aims to “let customers play with taste” by offering flights and sauce mixes.

Customers can choose from chimichurri ranch, teriyaki, jalapeno pesto and Creole honey mustard, among others.

The menu features treats like crispy sandwiches on sweet Hawaiian rolls and crinkle-cut fries, as well as tender chicken.

For dessert, there’s key lime pie and chocolate mousse, as well as various lemonade and iced tea variations to quench your thirst.

The move comes as the poultry sector of the fast food market is heating up and chicken competitor Raising Cane is expanding nationwide. Industry observers suspect Saucy could be KFC parent company Yum Brands’ attempt to capture market share.

KFC also follows McDonald’s, which opened the successful spin-off concept CosMc’s in double-digit locations last December.

The new concept will also “feature debut programs such as live entertainment, making it the perfect community epicenter,” according to KFC.

“Saucy is unlike anything else on the market and the experience it offers is in a class of its own,” added Poirier.

He also said that over time, the team will “imagine limited-edition sauces, trend-inspired sauces and sauces developed in response to changing taste buds.”
