Fenway Bowl is back and this year it has a distinct New England flavor.

The UConn Huskies will face the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2024 Fenway Bowl game on Saturday. The Tar Heels finished their season at 6-6, while UConn finished 8-4.

In the all-time series between the two teams, the Huskies have lost all three times. But the Heels have lost their last four bowl games. UConn and UNC last faced each other in 2009.

The Heels recently hired Bill Belichick as their program’s new head coach, so there’s a good chance he’ll be there. Tar Heels interim coach Freddie Kitchens will officiate the game.
