Every now and then you see something that hits you in the face (figuratively speaking) when you see how quickly time is passing. This weekend, Kim Kardashian gave us such a metaphorical slap in the face when she reminded us that it’s been a full decade since her viral “Break the Internet” cover Paper Magazine.

On Saturday, the reality TV star shared a carousel of images from the official Skims Christmas party held in Los Angeles on Thursday night – including a snap of her recreating the iconic image.

The Instagram post, which Kardashian captioned with a simple 🎁 emoji, contains a total of eight pictures from the festive evening, for which she wore a floor-length, fitted red leather dress with side cutouts, lace-up details and a plunging V-neck, plunging neckline. The pictures are all of the usual sexy/chic variety you’d expect from Kardashian (see previous set for dress description), but it’s the sixth photo in the set that’s grabbing the headlines.

In the image, the Skims founder leaned over and posed with a cocktail glass balanced on her most famous item, playfully recreating one of the most iconic shots from her groundbreaking 2014 photo shoot Paper Magazine (without the flowing arc of champagne that tragically flows into the glass).

Kardashian shared the original Paper cover in November 2014 when she was promoting the issue.

The original image was taken by legendary photographer Jean-Paul Goude in Paris, as Kardashian revealed (and understandably bragged) on Instagram at the time.

In other pictures in Kardashian’s Skims Christmas party carousel, the star posed (and laughed/seemed to be having a great time) in front of a booth decorated with holiday decorations like tinsel garlands, twinkly lights, and Christmas ornaments, and one of her stood in between her sister Khloé Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner, who arrived at the party in identical outfits in different colors.

As for the rest of her plans for the holiday season, the mother of four recently revealed that the Kardashian-Jenner family is forgoing their tradition of throwing “legendary Christmas Eve parties” and is instead hosting a “really low-key” celebration this year.

“Just because we have a lot of building going on, we’re doing a really family piece that I’m really excited about,” she explained in an on-camera interview fashionshared on the magazine’s Instagram. “We still dress smart because that’s what we do.”
