Knicks’ Josh Hart makes Jalen Brunson-Gradey Dick comments out of his own pocket

Knicks’ Josh Hart makes Jalen Brunson-Gradey Dick comments out of his own pocket

The New York Knicks wanted nothing more on Monday night than to get a win over the Toronto Raptors to send them on their way to their upcoming NBA Cup clash against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. And that’s exactly what they got; Thanks to some heroics from Karl-Anthony Towns, the Knicks earned a 113-108 victory and improved to 15-9 on the season.

But according to Knicks forward Josh Hart, star point guard Jalen Brunson apparently had a greater need on his mind all night long – he hilariously invoked the name of Raptors sophomore Gradey Dick while saying something like that One of the most expensive things in the NBA player has ever said.

“In the second half, Jalen Brunson kept saying, I want Dick. I’ll take Dick,” Hart told reporters after the game, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.

Hart has always been one of the funniest people in the league; His deadpan sense of humor is almost unmatched, and one would imagine the Knicks forward said that about Brunson with a straight face. But Hart strangely can’t joke about these things, especially given the suggestive nature of the Raptors sophomore’s last name.

Whatever the case, Dick has liked to joke about his last name in the past. As may be recalled, the Raptors’ sophomore accepted a jersey swap with Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black last season, resulting in one of the wildest and most hilarious moments in NBA history. Therefore, it is guaranteed that Dick’s heart will not harden after Hart’s joke about Brunson.

It’s a good thing that Dick has a gentle attitude towards jokes about his last name and that he doesn’t take offense at such jokes – which is good news for the Knicks forward.

And while Jalen Brunson may have reportedly said that he “want” and “will take” Gradey Dick, according to Josh Hart, the Knicks guard vehemently denied such allegations – even posting a post on his official account on X (formerly Twitter) to acquit him name.

“He lies on my behalf,” Brunson wrote.

Upon closer inspection, it actually looks like Hart really is lying about this matter (of course he is). The Knicks guard Ochai Agbaji defended to end the game, with Mikal Bridges being the one to take the dick job. However, don’t expect this to be the last time Hart makes fun of Brunson out of his own pocket.
