The Lions receive a bye in the first round of the playoffs and have home-field advantage throughout, while the Vikings travel to the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round next week. Kristen Bell and Dax Sheppard, a celebrity couple from Michigan, were a little distracted during the Golden Globes. Bell posted a video on her Instagram Story titled “Priorities” that showed her and her husband watching the Lions-Vikings game on his phone on his lap.
Metro Detroit natives Bell and Sheppard were seen at a game, while Harrison Ford and Anthony Mackie presented the award for best animated film. The Golden Globes nominated Bell for best performance by a female actress in a television series for “Nobody Wants This,” and “Hacks” took home that award for Jean Smart.
The Lions took the win NFC North Divisiona bye and the No. 1 seed in a historic 31-9 win over the Vikings. Detroit secured its 15th win of the season with Jahmyr Gibbs’ rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter, securing a bye in the first round of the playoffs. Gibbs had 139 yards on the ground and 31 receiving yards on five catches, helping the Lions gain home-field advantage when the Vikings face the Los Angeles Rams in the wild-card round.

They secured their second straight NFC North title, a franchise-best 15-2, and defeated the Vikings in the season series, resulting in a 14-3 victory. They are the ninth team in NFL history to win 15 or more regular season games, with only the 1984 San Francisco 49ers and 1985 Chicago Bears reaching the Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs also posted a 15-2 record this season.

The Lions, the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, have made it to the Super Bowl twice in a row. Their win on Sunday puts them in a great position to represent the conference on February 9th in New Orleans. They have a bye this week and will face the lowest seeded team in the divisional round on January 18th and 19th.
