Kyle Hamilton and Marlon Humphrey must…

Numbers never lie, and the Baltimore The Ravens’ pass defense has been the only consistent weakness in 2024. However, in their last three games, they have only allowed 177.3 passes per game. Will star defensemen Marlon Humphrey and Kyle Hamilton continue to build on this momentum as the NFL playoffs approach?

In hindsight, this is not the case with the Ravens’ last three opponents, the Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants almost compared to the offensive powerhouses they will face as they make their way into the NFL playoffs. However, like every other NFL team, the Ravens only play against the teams that the league has on its schedule.

Humphrey and Hamilton are both polished Veterans with credible experience who can serve as vocal leaders behind the scenes for the Ravens. Defensive back Brandon Stephen has held his own and rookie Nate Wiggins is second behind Humphrey with 12 pass deflections this season. Humphrey and defensive coordinator Zach Orr may want to increase interception drills in practice to sow some of the bleeding and prepare their unit for impending turnover opportunities.

Ultimately, with the front seven or six producing top-level sacks, perhaps Hamilton and Humphrey should encourage their supporting cast to do a little ball-hawking in the backcourt.
