After a disastrous performance Monday night in which LeBron James scored just 10 points on 4-of-16 shooting, the Lakers star admitted he felt “out of rhythm.”

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a huge loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves (109-80), with James and Anthony Davis combining for just 22 points.

For the 39-year-old veteran, it wasn’t just a problem – everything seemed to be going wrong.

“Everything – just the rhythm. I just feel out of rhythm the last couple, three, four games,” James told reporters after the game.

During the team’s lackluster offensive performance, James contributed eight rebounds, four assists and six turnovers in 31 minutes.

When asked if he had reconsidered his goal of playing all 82 games this season for the good of the team and himself, James avoided a direct answer.

“That’s a goal, but we’ll see. “I’m not discussing that right now,” James told reporters.

The 12-9 Lakers rank 14th in the league with an average of 114.0 points per game. James attributes his offensive difficulties to the team’s recent focus on defense, where they currently rank 22nd in that category.

“We’re just not good offensively right now,” James told reporters. “I think we spent so much time improving our defense that our offense just took its toll and took a backseat.”

James and the Lakers will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they visit Miami to take on the Heat.
