Los Angeles Lakers two-way guard Quincy Olivari signs endorsement deal with Curry Brand. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the deal.

Curry Brand was launched in 2020 by Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry and Under Armour.

God, thank you so much for the blessings you have given me. A shoe deal, wow 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

According to Charania, Olivari will join Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox as the second active NBA player to sign with the brand.

The former Xavier and Rice guard joined the Lakers for the 2024-25 preseason and was converted to a two-way deal in October. He averaged 21.4 points in five G League starts for the South Bay Lakers.

Curry and Olivari played against each other on October 18 in a preseason contest between the Lakers and Warriors.

Olivari led the Lakers to victory with 22 points. He went 8 of 16 from the field and 5 of 9 from behind the arc.

The two met after the game and Olivari shared a video of himself receiving an autographed jersey from Curry as a child, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. The Warriors star responded by gifting Olivari a pair of signed sneakers.

Olivari was emotional as he spoke to reporters after the game about meeting Curry.

“It’s crazy because I liked him since I was in sixth grade,” Olivari said. “I don’t even know what to say because he’s my favorite player ever.”

Oliver continued: “The first thing he said to me was, ‘I’m a big fan of your game.’ And to be honest, I’m a big fan of his.

The signing of Olivari marks the next step forward for Curry Brand signed its first international athlete in June and opened its first brand-specific store in September.

Curry attended the store opening in Chengdu, China, ahead of the release of his 12th signature sneaker.

Fox, meanwhile, introduced its first Curry-branded signature sneaker, the Curry Fox 1, ahead of the 2024-25 season. According to Andscape’s Aaron Dodson, the sneaker was the first signature shoe to bear the names of two active players.
