Lamar Jackson delights NFL fans and generates MVP hype in the Ravens’ Christmas Day win over the Texans | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

The Baltimore Ravens earned a dominant 31-2 victory over the Houston Texans thanks to another MVP performance from star quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson recorded 168 passing yards and two touchdowns on 10 of 15 passing and 87 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground on four carries in the win. It was his third straight game with three or more total touchdowns.

Jackson also surpassed legendary quarterback Michael Vick’s rushing yards numbers, making him the NFL’s all-time leader in rushing yards by a quarterback.

Jackson’s strong offensive performance was supported by Derrick Henry, who had 147 rushing yards and a touchdown.

It was a dominant performance from the Ravens’ defense as they allowed just 211 yards of offense and held the Texans’ offense scoreless. Houston’s only points came from a safety.

After another spectacular performance, fans took to social media to praise Jackson’s MVP chances.

Jackson and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen have been neck-and-neck in the MVP race all season, although Allen arguably had the edge. However, Jackson’s recent performances, including Wednesday, have put him right next to Allen, so it could go either way.

Allen will have a chance to improve his stats in the next two games as the Bills face the New York Jets and New England Patriots to close out the season. Jackson only has one game left against the Cleveland Browns.
