Taylor Sheridan Countryman has prepared an intriguing plot that could be interesting in a second season. There is no direct message about it yet Countryman season 2, There is only one episode left for Sheridan’s series this yearand there’s probably too much to cover in just another hour of television. Billy Bob Thornton leads Landman’s Cast as Tommy Norris, an oil crisis management executive who faces a series of problems related to his chaotic work and family life.

One of Tommy’s biggest problems concerns his son Cooper, who showed in the first season that he has a penchant for drama. In just nine episodes, Cooper joined two oil crews, witnessed an explosion that killed three men, was beaten up, and formed a romantic relationship with one of the men’s widows. To make a long story short: word got around about Cooper, and Countryman At the end of Episode 9, he revealed his plan for long-term success, which would be reflected in the series’ main narrative for Season 2.

For the first time in a few episodes Cooper has something to do with Ariana other than his storylinealthough she can still play a prominent role.

The best part of it If Cooper enters the oil industry with a plan like this, he’s bound to run into Tommy at some point. Now that Tommy is taking on a more senior role at M-Tex, he has a lot more at stake and could easily lead to a business rivalry. Either way, if he succeeds without his father’s help, it should make for a compelling cross-family drama. Taylor Sheridan is best known for his shows’ studies of complex family dynamics, so it would be fitting if the Norris boys were divided by another wedge.

As mentioned, Countryman Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet, but it would be shocking if Paramount+ didn’t renew it. Considering how many of Taylor Sheridan’s shows have been hits, he’s undoubtedly the streaming service’s most profitable asset. Countryman itself has the potential to be his biggest show since Yellowstoneso don’t worry even if it hasn’t been announced yet. Unless the story somehow ends with a surprise conclusion to episode 10, Tommy Norris should be back on TV at some point.
