Benanti said Levi tried to get the cast to have a dance party every night, which she said she didn’t want to attend.

“He really captivated everyone with his dance party energy,” she continued. “For example: ‘We’re having a dance party on the half hour.’ I thought, “Good luck.” ”

But it was the way Levi reacted to the death of her co-star Gavin Creel that deeply upset her.

Creel died on Monday, September 30, at the age of 48, during treatment for a rare and aggressive form of cancer, metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma. The cancer arises in the bones or soft tissues of the body such as muscles, fat, blood vessels and nerves. Creel was diagnosed just a few months earlier in July.

During an Instagram Live appearance in October following Creel’s death, Levi suggested that Creel died as a result of the COVID vaccine, according to Deadline.

“That (Levi) is using the memory of (Creel) – a person he was not friends with – to use his memory for his political agenda and watching him try to make himself cry until he has one had only tear that he didn’t wipe away “I thought, ‘F— you forever,'” Benanti said.

The actress added that she believes Levi’s conservative views will help him in the future.

“Everyone says, ‘This is career suicide.’ But it’s not career suicide because Christian, faith-based television and film is huge,” she said.
