LeBron James is excited about Bryce James’ commitment to Arizona

No one could claim to have formed a father-son duo in the NBA until this season with LeBron James and Bronny James with the Los Angeles Lakers. While this felt like the icing on the cake of LeBron’s illustrious career, his youngest son Bryce is now on the verge of becoming an NBA player.

With the Lakers star now 40 years old and playing in the club’s 22nd division, it’s crazy to think he could also play with Bryce, but it’s definitely not something you can rule out. Depending on how things turn out for Bryce, he could join his father and older brother in the NBA as early as the 2026 draft.

However, it remains to be seen whether LA would be even remotely interested in signing the 17-year-old. Regardless, Bryce puts college first and decided to leave the state and commit to the University of Arizona. LeBron shared his thoughts and excitement about his youngest son’s decision.

“It was his decision,” James said. “He went where he felt comfortable. Coach Lloyd, a no-nonsense shooter, gave him exactly what they believed in him or what they thought about him as a player and a person. We are excited to now be part of the Bear Down community. I have some terrible friends who are graduates there in Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye, so I’m not too excited about it, but otherwise we’re excited to be part of the Tucson community.”

It’s an exciting time for the James family as Bryce appears to be getting closer and closer to his ultimate goal of playing professional basketball. However, it is worth noting that the 1.90 m tall striker is a project, similar to Bronny, who has skills to become a useful player later.

Considering how skilled and athletic LeBron is at this stage of his career despite his age, his sons certainly have what it takes to make a name for themselves. It will be exciting for Bryce to see how he adjusts at the college level at a program as big as Arizona.

Ultimately, there’s no rush for him to become an individual player in Arizona, so perhaps he’ll spend extra time getting acclimated to the next level. Seeing how things pan out in his first year will be worth watching, as potentially having the entire James family in the NBA would be another historic achievement.

LeBron James talks about Max Christie’s development this season

Max Christie started his third season with the Lakers on the wrong foot as he struggled greatly on offense. Now Christie looks to be a permanent fixture in the starting lineup due to his great two-way play.

LeBron James recently spoke about Christie’s growth this season, revealing that the 21-year-old had to push through those tough times to get to where he is now.
