Leo Woodall stars in the Apple TV+ thriller

UPDATED with trailer: “What if we’re not in control?” That’s a key question posed by Leo Woodall’s Edward Brooks, a brilliant postgraduate mathematics student who is about to make a major discovery that leads him deep into a government conspiracy.

Black AdamQuintessa Swindell also stars in the series, which premieres January 22 on Apple TV+.

PREVIOUS, Oct. 24: Apple TV+ has set the conspiracy thriller series to premiere on January 22nd Main goal with White lotus And Once Breakout Leo Woodall and Black AdamThis is Quintessa Swindell. The eight-episode series will launch with the first two episodes, followed by a weekly episode every Wednesday until March 5th.

Woodall plays the brilliant young mathematics graduate student Edward Brooks, who is on the verge of a major breakthrough. If he can find a pattern in prime numbers, he will have the key to every computer in the world. He soon realizes that an invisible enemy is trying to destroy his idea before it’s even born, which throws him into the orbit of Taylah Sanders, a female NSA agent (Swindell) tasked with studying the behavior of mathematicians to observe and report on it. Together they begin to uncover the disturbing conspiracy Edward is behind.

The cast also includes Stephen Rea (The wine game), David Morrissey (Sherwood), Martha Plimpton (the regime)Sidse Babett Knudsen (Borrow), Jason Flemyng (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Harry Lloyd (game of Thrones), Ali Suliman (Jack Ryan by Tom Clancy), Fra fee (Rebel Moon) and Joseph Mydell (The eternal daughter).

Main goal is produced for Apple TV+ by New Regency with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions.

Writer and director Brady Hood (Great expectations) directed all eight episodes and also serves as executive producer. Napoleon Director Scott is an EP producer alongside Marina Brackenbury, David W. Zucker, Ed Rubin, Beth Pattinson, Emma Broughton, Yariv Milchan, Arnon Milchan and Michael Schaefer. The series is produced by Laura Hastings-Smith, who also serves as executive producer.
