Less windy this afternoon, light snow in south-central Pennsylvania this evening

This afternoon the sun is shining through the high clouds. Now, as we progress through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening, cloud cover will begin to increase ahead of our next light snowmaker. High pressure moving across the Mid-Atlantic has helped winds decrease to 5-10 mph this afternoon. Highs will reach the low 30s. IMPACT NIGHT: Low pressure approaches from the Midwest tonight and light snow begins west to east between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Snowfall will be steady and light overnight, with most of the area covered in up to an inch of snow. In a few places it could snow up to 5 cm. From west to east, snow stops at 8 a.m. Since temperatures will be in the 20s when the snow falls, it will stick to all surfaces, including the roads. Please be careful if you arrive early on Saturday. On Saturday afternoon the sky will be mostly cloudy and the high will be 34 degrees. Some lightening is possible towards the evening. Wind speeds range from 5 to 15 miles per hour. On Sunday there will be mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 36 degrees. The wind is noticeably weaker. The next working week begins with some storms and a fresh breeze. The high on Monday will be around 30°C, then temperatures will drop to the upper 20s C Tuesday through Thursday. The wind will be stronger, making it feel like the teenage years. Temperatures will quickly moderate at the end of the week and could approach average (near 40 degrees) for the first time since January 2nd! I wish you a nice rest of the afternoon! –Ryan
