Saturday is a FOX 26 Storm Alert day as we monitor severe weather across the region.

Officials have confirmed that at least one person died in Saturday’s storms.

The tornado warning has ended in Liberty County.

There are still storms in the area.

Brazoria County officials confirmed to FOX 26 that at least four people were injured in Saturday’s storm, in addition to the fatalities.

The American Red Cross has sent teams to Waller County and Montgomery County to assess the damage left behind and assist those in need.

A tornado warning in Chambers County is expected to remain in effect until 3:15 p.m

Manvel Mayor Dan Davis said one person died in today’s storms.

It is the first reported death in the series of tornado-warned storms moving across southeast Texas on Saturday.

According to the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, a tornado touched down in the area between Liverpool and Hillcrest Village.

They are asking people to avoid the area. SH 35 from FM 2403 south to CR 192 is closed and CR 191 from CR 172 to SH 35 is closed.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Harris and Montgomery County until 3 p.m

A new tornado warning is in effect for Chambers County until 3 p.m

We are receiving several images and videos of storm damage in Southeast Texas.

Walt Disney Elementary School in Alvin was one of the locations that sustained damage.

Galveston County’s tornado warning has expired.

A tornado warning is in effect for large parts of the area until 5 p.m

According to the county’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, areas in the eastern portions of Montgomery County were heavily damaged.

An emergency call center was set up to support first responders.

A tornado was spotted over Hillcrest, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service said the public spotted a possible tornado over Cypress, moving northeast at 30 miles per hour. It reportedly landed near Highway 290 and Spring Cypress Road at 10:55 a.m

A tornado warning is in effect until 11 a.m. for Harris County and Waller County

A cold front is beginning to move across southeast Texas. There is a possibility of heavy rain, large hail and strong winds, and we are not ruling out the possibility of a tornado.

The biggest risk is heavy rain.

A tornado watch has been put in place for southeast Texas until 5 p.m
