Live updates from the New Glenn's maiden launch at the Cape

At 8 p.m. Sunday, Blue Origin officials announced that 36 rocket fuels were being loaded at the launch complex. Blue Origin crews hope to launch the towering, two-stage New Glenn within a three-hour window. After some delays, the current finish time is 2:27

After stage separation, New Glenn’s reusable first stage will descend and land hundreds of miles off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean on Blue Origin’s drone ship Jacklyn, named after the mother of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The Space Force’s 45th Weather Squadron predicts a 90% chance of weather starting at the Cape, with thick cloud layers posing a meteorological threat.

And in a key development, “significant sea levels will drop to around 5 to 6 feet” to carry out the booster rescue attempt – Blue Origin’s first two launch windows on Friday and Sunday were postponed due to rough seas.

“The weather (including sea conditions) is looking much more favorable for this new window,” Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp said in a tweet.

Blue Origin pushes the target time again to 2:27

Update 2:02 a.m.: Blue Origin officials have just announced the fourth scheduled launch time for the morning.

Details about the new Glenn booster landing

Update 1:55 a.m.: According to a Blue Origin NG-1 mission schedule, the New Glenn first stage booster was scheduled to land on the drone ship Jacklyn approximately 9 minutes and 28 seconds after launch.

We are now 12 minutes from launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
