NASHVILLE – Tennessee football can advance to the College Football Playoff with a win over Vanderbilt, but that’s no easy task.

The Vols (9-2, 5-2 SEC) and Commodores (6-5, 3-4) face off in their annual rivalry game at FirstBank Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT/12 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC.

Tennessee is ranked No. 8 in the CFP poll heading into the regular-season finale, so a win should secure a spot in the 12-team playoffs. There’s even a chance the Vols could host a first-round game.

But Vanderbilt, already bowl-eligible, is trying to throw the Vols off their playoff path. Quarterback Diego Pavia and the Commodores have already beaten Alabama and nearly beaten Texas this season, and they would love to ruin Tennessee’s season.
