1st quarter

5:52: Zvada connects on a 30-yard FG as the Wolverines are stopped on three consecutive runs after the turnover.

8:10: It starts to rain and Milroe botches the snap. Derrick Moore gets it back at the Crimson Tide 24.

8:15: Zvada kicks a 45-yard field goal after the Wolverines were stopped on a 3rd-and-long.

Michigan 3, Alabama 0

10:30: Davis Warren escapes the pocket and completes a pass to Hogan Hansen on a 3rd-and-7 play to keep the Wolverines’ drive alive inside the Alabama 30-yard line.

12:05: Alabama drives the ball over midfield on its first possession, but is stopped on 4th down when Derrick Moore sacks Jalen Milroe. Wolverines take over at Alabama’s 44 yard line.

3:00 p.m.: Dominic Zvada’s kick goes out of bounds as the Crimson Tide start alone after the 35th-minute penalty.

Michigan wins the toss and moves to the second half. Alabama will receive the opening kickoff.

Michigan football (7-5) will face No. 11 Alabama (9-3) in the ReliaQuest Bowl on New Year’s Eve at noon.

Due to opt-outs, injuries and departures from the transfer portal, the Wolverines will be without a number of their best players on both sides.

The Crimson Tide will be without a few players who have moved in recent weeks, but otherwise have as full a roster as one could hope for for a game like this.
