Liverpool fail again against Forest in the Premier League as Man City’s fallibility returns

Nottingham Forest proved their unlikely Premier League title claims by beating Liverpool to a 1-1 draw, cementing their victory over the league leaders at the start of the season. It took a Diogo Jota header from a corner in the 66th minute to give Liverpool a point and maintain their six-point lead over Forest. Forest moved into second place in their unlikely bid to qualify for the Champions League. Forest beat Anfield in September and were on course to achieve an unlikely home and away double against Arne Slot’s side after top scorer Chris Wood scored early. Manchester City conceded two late goals to draw 2-2 at Brentford and Chelsea saved a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth thanks to Reece James’ last-minute free-kick.
