Liverpool name 19-man squad for Champions League game in Girona as key player returns

Liverpool have named a 19-man squad for the trip to Girona for Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League clash.

Arne Slot’s team leads the table after five wins in five games and will try to automatically secure their place in the round of 16 on the trip to Spain.

The Dutchman is still dealing with several injury problems to key players and it looks like they will only have eight substitutes available to them, rather than the twelve allowed in the European Premier competition.

Conor Bradley, Ibrahima Konate and Kostas Tsimikas are still missing and although Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa have returned to team training in recent days, neither are named in the traveling squad. Alexis Mac Allister will also miss the duel due to a suspension.

However, there is good news on the injury front for Slot and Liverpool: Alisson Becker is back in the squad for the first time since early October.
