The Texas Longhorns’ game against the Clemson Tigers on December 21 marks the start of the first 12-team College Football Playoff this season.

While the Longhorns failed to secure a first-round bye after a 22-19 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian is looking forward to the playoff atmosphere Saturday at Darrell K Royal Memorial Stadium.

“I know Longhorn Nation is super excited. I know our team is excited,” Sarkisian said during an appearance College game day. “We now had two weeks to prepare. I know Dabo (Swinney) will have Clemson ready to go, so it should be a lot of fun.”

Sarkisian’s wife, Loreal Sarkisian, cheers on the Longhorns against the Tigers and always looks stunning. The “First Lady of Texas Longhorns Football” once again appeared ready for game day on the way to the stadium.

While Loreal used a very budget-friendly Ziploc bag to meet the stadium’s clear purse guidelines, she filled the bag with $100 bills. Loreal also made sure fans saw her huge engagement ring in the picture.

While Sarkisian and his wife announced in July that they had filed for divorce, the couple appears to have reconciled their relationship. Not only has Loreal been wearing her engagement ring for several weeks, she also referred to Sarkisian as “my husband” in a video earlier this month.

The winner of the Texas-Clemson games will play Arizona State in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on January 1, 2025.
