Now we see more cold air flowing in. THERE ARE 45 OF US IN BOGALUSA, 42 IN BATON ROUGE, 50 OFFICIALLY AT THE AIRPORT. NORTHWEST WINDS ARE NOW BRINGING COOLER AIR WINDS ABOUT 10 TO 12 MPH, LIKELY TO BE A LITTLE STRONGER FOR US LATER THIS AFTERNOON. Officially we have a wind warning in force for the south coast, valid until 6am. WE COULD SEE SOME WIND GUSTS OVER 25 MPH THERE. THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS NOW. LOUIS ARMSTRONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, 50 DEGREES. With this northwest wind, the temperature is nine degrees and the dew point is 50 degrees. But those two points should sink in for us later this afternoon. AND TONIGHT. This is where all the rain is. AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NOW MOVING TO THE EAST. This low is causing a lot of bad weather across much of the Southeast. I have many friends in the Atlanta area. They shut everything down. NOT THAT THERE WAS THAT MUCH SNOW, BUT A LOT OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLICE THAT MAKE THE JOURNEY SO DANGEROUS. Well, this low has the trailing cold front that will bring us the colder air over the next 24 hours. BUT LET’S LOOK AT HOUR BY HOUR AND SHOW YOU THAT THE SHOWERS ARE AT 3:00 PM THIS AFTERNOON. Near freezing on the north coast. ELSEWHERE MID TO UPPER 30S AND SATURDAY EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF SUNDAY. We’ll start with mostly clear skies, then clouds will start to increase and around 3pm, 1 or 2 late afternoon and evening showers are possible. We’re starting to see some rain coming. But here we go. YOUR FORECAST is that the rain will gradually end this afternoon. I set the temperature to 40. WE REACHED HIGH TEMPERATURE EARLIER TODAY. In some places the temperatures have actually risen up to 60 degrees, but our temperatures are slowly dropping down to 40 degrees. THIS AFTERNOON. The cloudy skies will be a bit windy, but it will still be a factor in cooling the wind. I think in the upper 20s in a lot of places. CLOUDS WILL LOSE FOR US TOMORROW AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURE IN THE UPPER 40S. Reach 57 on Sunday, but then overnight Sunday into Monday morning. At the moment the chances of showers are very good. 70% CHANCE OF RAIN. MORE THAN 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE. It will remain windy on Tuesday and Wednesday, but temperatures will rise back to near 60° by midweek. THAT’S YOU
