Weekly Weather Planner: Track mild temperatures with a few scattered showers for Christmas week

METEOROLOGIST MATT MILOSEVIC. IN ORDER. The good news at 611 is that our weather is calm until Monday morning. WE ARE PUTTING TEMPERATURES IN THE 20S. WE ARE COOLEST 23 AROUND SELLERSBURG 26, BOWMAN FIELD AIRPORT KNOX AND E-TOWN AT 27 IN THE CITY. IF YOU GET A LITTLE BREEZE OUT THERE IT’S NOT MUCH, BUT 27 NOW FEEL LIKE 19. AT 26 IT FEELS LIKE 20 AT BOWMAN FIELD. So dress appropriately for temperatures in the city, which feel a little closer to 20 degrees. The good news is that we will be milder today, even if clouds increase in the afternoon. WE WERE 39 YESTERDAY. Highs will rise to 50 degrees today. NOW IT WILL FEEL A LITTLE COOLER THAN THAT DUE TO A SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST BREEZE ABOUT 10 TO 15 TO 15. IT WILL NOT BE TOO GUSTY, BUT IF IT GET A LITTLE CLOSER TO 15 MILES PER HOUR THAT WILL DEFINITELY BE AWARE THE 50 DEGREES HIGH FEELING IN THE 40S UNTIL AFTERNOON. We are watching for scattered light showers this evening and throughout the night. NOTHING HEAVY BUT A LITTLE LIGHT RAIN is coming our way. The forecast radar initially shows cloud cover increasing throughout the afternoon, but the chance of rain may not be quite as high during the day. OUR ATMOSPHERE IS JUST TOO DRY FOR THAT, BUT AS SUNSET MOVES INTO THE EVENING HOURS, OUR NORTHERN COMMUNITIES WILL FIRST DEAL WITH A FEW SPOTTY LIGHT SHOWERS THAT MOVE SOUTH CLOSER TO THE OHIO RIVER. LATE EVENING, AT 11:00 AM AND THEN CONTINUES THE ADVANCE SOUTH UNTIL THE EARLY HOURS OF OUR TUESDAY. I think most of our Christmas Eve is dry. WE WILL BE STUCK IN THE CLOUDS TOMORROW, BUT NOT MUCH RAINFALL TO DEAL WITH. SOME OF THESE showers will return late Tuesday evening and especially Christmas morning. There is some evidence that a few splashes may remain throughout the day, but this is far from a washout. BUT A LITTLE LIGHT RAIN POSSIBILITY THIS EVENING INTO TOMORROW MORNING AND AGAIN ON WEDNESDAY. Look at the highs for a little dip at 48 tomorrow. Come back into the 50s on Wednesday and then we’ll start to climb. 55 looks like a dry day on Thursday, 58 on Friday with a few light showers. BUT WE’RE EVEN GOING TO 60 ON SATURDAY. BUT THE WEEKEND LOOKS UNSCHEDULED. WE WILL DEAL WITH CHANCES OF RAIN WITH THE MOST STEADY RAIN. OUR NEXT ROUND OF REAL IMPACT WEATHER WILL BRING SOME BAD SHOWERS. It looks like until Saturday evening
