Lacy is wanted on charges of involuntary manslaughter and hit-and-run following a Dec. 17, 2024, traffic accident that killed a former Marine and injured two others, Louisiana State Police said.

Louisiana State Police say they are β€œin contact with Lacy and his legal representation about turning himself in.”

After allegedly causing the accident, investigators allege that Lacy sped from the scene and did not report his involvement to police.

Lacy, 24, of Thibodaux, Louisiana, is also wanted for reckless operation of a vehicle, documents show.

Louisiana State Police allege Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger south on LA Highway 20 and “recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the center line and entering the northbound lane in a posted no-passing zone.” β€œ

The former LSU wide receiver declared for the NFL draft just two days after the crash.

A Louisiana State Police document makes the following allegations about the incident: As Lacy illegally passed the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup suddenly braked and turned right to avoid a head-on collision with the oncoming Dodge. Behind the pickup was a Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved left to avoid the oncoming Dodge Charger. As the Kia Cadenza swerved to avoid colliding with the Dodge, it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a southbound Kia Sorrento. After the accident, Lacy drove around the scene and fled south on LA Highway 20 without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement in the accident. A passenger in the Kia Sorrento, Herman Hall of Thibodaux, was critically injured in the 10 a.m. crash and was taken to a hospital where he later died, investigators said. Hall, 78, was a former Marine. Louisiana State Police said LSP investigators and troopers were able to determine that Lacy was driving the Dodge Charger at the time. During LSU’s final season, Lacy led the Tigers in receiving touchdowns (9) and was second on the team in catches (58) and receiving yards (866).
