Happy New Year from Luke Combs . The country superstar isn’t wasting the last day of 2024. While many other people are avoiding work, recklessly drinking alcohol at all hours of the day and preparing the champagne for New Year’s Eve, Luke Combs shares a teaser for unreleased music. And he asks his fans for help. Combs’ most recent release was his fatherhood concept album entitled fathers and sons which was released on June 14th. I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention his single “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” which was created specifically for country music Twister Soundtrack. Needless to say, Luke Combs fans were treated very well in 2024. Thanks to a teaser the country singer shared on his social media accounts, it now appears that 2025 will also be a big year full of new music from Luke Combs. In a screen capture of a voice memo titled “More Less Than Perfect,” a track was shared that appears to be a new duet. The chorus of the song goes as follows: “Just because I’m broken doesn’t mean I’m worthless The heart you let me hold, I know I don’t deserve it You could run away and save yourself some suffering But you continued to love me when I couldn’t Rather less than perfect. Luke Combs’ love ballads are BACK. The song sounds solid at its core, but it’s the caption Luke Combs shared with the video that has fans excited. Along with the one-minute teaser came a question for Luke Combs fans and country fans alike: “Who should I play this in a duet with?” https://twitter.com/lukecombs/status/1874171187401797926 Oh, so we’re getting a Luke Combs duet in 2025? Now we’re talking… However, only time will tell who Luke calls to help him with this. It will definitely be interesting to see if he and his team look at some of the artist suggestions that fans have flooded the reply section with: I don’t think Luke Combs could go wrong with any of the country artists suggested above. However, there have actually been a number of really intriguing non-country artists that have been called out by fans for a possible duet: I have to say that Miley Cyrus would be cool, but I can’t really see that happening. When I first heard it, without even looking at the comments, I immediately thought of Ella Langley or Megan Moroney…two of country music’s most promising young female voices right now. Meg is also a labelmate. But if there’s one thing I know, it’s that you can always count on Luke Combs to give you a little kick, and on more than one occasion he’s excelled or collaborated with really cool artists that aren’t exactly in the mainstream, at the top and at the top are centers. He has also used his tours and concerts to bring attention to really good country acts like The Wilder Blue, Flatland Cavalry, Charles Wesley Godwin, Colby Acuff, Hailey Whitters and more… actually, wait… Hailey Whitters …that is your answer.
