Malik Nabers injury update: Latest news on the Giants’ star wide receiver

Everything that can go wrong will go wrong for the New York Giants in 2024.

Star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers, already out of playoff contention and vying for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, was one of the few bright spots in a tumultuous season.

Heading into Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, Nabers’ 80 receptions were the most of any player in his first 11 games.

However, the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft limped off the field due to a potentially scary injury.

Here’s the latest update on Nabers’ injury:

Update on Malik Nabers’ injury

Luckily for the Giants, Nabers was able to return to the game shortly afterward.

However, the way Nabers was almost injured was indicative of how the entire season has gone for the Giants.

After a play ended early in the third quarter, Nabers went back to the huddle. Some unplanned altercations between Giants tight end Chris Manhertz and Roquan Smith resulted in Manhertz stepping on Nabers’ ankle.

It wasn’t too long ago that former Giants running back Saquon Barkley missed time after suffering an ankle sprain after twisting his ankle on a play that didn’t go well against the Dallas Cowboys.

Luckily, the star wideout appears to be doing well after that injury scare.
