UFC main cards, 2024: 107-93-3

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 preview

Kape (19-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC) will look to bounce back from his July loss to Muhammad Mokaev at UFC 304. Although Kape doesn’t accept the result as a defeat, he has officially ended a four-fight winning streak. His last win of that run was a unanimous Fight of the Night decision over Felipe dos Santos at UFC 293. … Silva (14-5-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) is in the position Kape was in before July, as he goes on a four-fight winning streak. It’s an impressive series with all stoppage results: JP Buys, Victor Rodriguez, Tyson Nam and Cody Durden have all been stopped in the second round or earlier.

Manel Kape vs. Bruno Silva UFC on ESPN 63 Expert Pick, Prediction

Filling out the main card in Tampa is a meaningful flyweight affair between Kape and Silva.

From frustrating fights to frustrating appearances on the scale, Kape’s UFC career hasn’t gone as expected so far. Silva, on the other hand, has recovered beautifully from a difficult start to his UFC career and is currently on a four-fight streak.

But while the divisions give us even more reason to look forward to this fight, I fear that we could be in for quite a competition stylistically given both men’s counter-attacking proclivities.

For this reason, I find it difficult to predict a certain outcome.

I’ll half-reluctantly side with Kape in narrowly edging out the referee’s scorecards with his flashier offense.
