Marcus Rashford has been left out of Manchester United’s squad for Manchester United’s Carabao Cup match against Tottenham.

This comes just days after Ruben Amorim was left out of the squad for the weekend’s Manchester derby, which United won 2-1. Rashford missed training earlier this week due to illness, but Amorim confirmed he would be in training ahead of the trip to Spurs.

Rashford’s exclusion from the squad came after the 27-year-old admitted he was “ready for a new challenge” in an interview with Henry Winter.

However, United coach Amorim refused to close the door on Rashford’s future at Old Trafford, insisting in his pre-match press conference that the team was better with the England international.
