Mark ZuckerbergHe’s not building a doomsday ranch in Hawaii … and claims reports about his 5,000-square-foot basement have exaggerated rumors about his Kauai home.

Here’s the deal…Bloomberg’s “The Race Track” have posted uncut footage from their latest episode, in which Zuck tries to come clean about last year’s WIRED report that he would have a 5,000-square-foot bunker beneath his Kauai compound.

The Meta-CEO tells The Circuit’s. Emily Chang – with a straight face, mind you – that it’s “like a little shelter,” which essentially amounts to “a basement.”

While Chang gets angry about the comments, he continues, “Whatever you want to call it, hurricane protection whatever. “I think it’s been blown out of proportion, like the whole ranch is some kind of doomsday bunker, which is just not true.”

Worth noting… Mark’s home in Hawaii is reportedly on 1,400 acres – so a 5,000 square foot bunker somehow fits the size of the property and probably offers plenty of ways to pass the time in the event of a zombie apocalypse!

Zuckerberg goes on to say that the Kauai property is intended for ranching, with the goal of producing the highest quality beef in the world… just a “really fun project.”
