Hosted by Martin Short Saturday Night Live this weekend (December 21) and he couldn’t help but give his friends playful digs in a new promo for the upcoming episode.

In the hilarious clip shared on Wednesday (December 18), Short surprises the SNL Cast with Christmas presents to celebrate the holidays and the final episode of the year. However, when they opened the boxes, they were empty.

That’s when Short revealed that the “something special” he got them was a “job wrapping all my gifts for all my famous friends.”

These gifts included, among others: How to develop a personality Book for Colin Jost, a baby rattle for Al Pacino and SPF Infinity sunscreen for him Just murders in the building Co-star and longtime friend Steve Martin, because “let’s face it, Steve is whiter than a Coldplay meet-and-greet.”

As the cast approaches Short, wishing him a Merry Christmas and hugging him, the comedian snaps. “Back! “Don’t touch me,” he shouts at them. “From a distance it’s Merry Christmas.”

Hozier will take the stage as musical guest during the Short-hosted episode, which will air a few weeks after the Irish superstar’s release on December 6th Unreal Unearth: Infinitean expanded version of his album released in 2023.
