Marvel Rivals Patch Schedule – Update Downtime

Marvel Rivals Patch Schedule – Update Downtime

Marvel Rivals is about to receive its first major post-launch patch, meaning the servers for the game will be down for at least some maintenance.

As with all online titles, when a new update for Marvel Rivals goes live, the game’s servers must be taken offline in order for the content to go live. This downtime could last a long time depending on the size of the patch, but at least we know exactly when this December 10th update will make a splash.

Marvel Rivals will receive its update on December 10th at 12pm PT, there is no set time frame for how long server maintenance will last when the patch goes live.

According to NetEase Games, the December 10 Marvel Rivals update will “include a patch that addresses several issues related to maps, game modes, heroes, and other content.” No details have been announced at this time, but there will likely be several fixes to known gameplay bugs and balance adjustments for characters in the roster.

NetEase also notes that “players will be able to continue playing when the patch is released,” although there was no explanation as to whether this means the servers will remain active during the release or how large the actual update will be.

If major buffs and nerfs are added this patch, it could change who the best heroes are in Marvel Rivals while also shifting the early Season 0 meta. NetEase could also make adjustments to things like map interactivity, although this would likely only happen in the event of major bug fixes.
