In his book, Your Mom’s Gonna Love Me, published on December 3, Matt emphasized that he did not undergo any secret surgery, but went through late-onset puberty at the age of 20.

“Puberty, after 20+ years of sweet time, finally decided to hit me right in the face,” he wrote.

“Over the course of a few months, I went from looking like a 13-year-old to looking like who I actually was. Like a real grown man.”

“My face became wider, my facial features became more prominent, I became a few centimeters taller.”

Matt claimed that regular gym sessions with his comedian friend Dane Cook also helped his body transform.

“I started lifting weights every day,” he said. “It cleared my head.”

He said the changes in his “bizarrely stunted journey through adolescence” had sparked “a million and one internet conspiracies” about a plastic surgery makeover.

Matt accused the plastic surgeons who commented on his changed face of having a “shocking lack of common sense.”

“Can the medical board please just issue an official certificate asking you to live a life?” he seethed.

He said puberty made him “handsome” – which actually made his job as a comedian “harder.”

Matt Rife’s “drastic” facial changes are “not just due to late puberty,” says an expert – estimating he spent $10,000 on the work

“As a comedian, you’re supposed to make the audience like you, right?” he wrote. “Well, who the hell likes attractive people? No one!”

Matt’s fans were particularly convinced that he went under the knife after the release of his Netflix special Lucid in August.

“Be Jaw fillers are too alarming to look atsaid a viewer on X.

“Matt Rife’s jaw is looking wild lately,” said another.

“What’s wrong with his face?” asked a third.

A plastic surgery nurse told The US Sun at the time that she believed Matt had made “some drastic changes” to his face.

“He has a lot of volume around his jawline and could have gotten cheek implants and/or cheek fat removal,” suggested celebrity injector Tara Adashev of Neinstein Plastic Surgery.

“It all looks like he’s had surgery, so not necessarily fillers.”

“Matt did something to change his face.

“He probably spent about $10,000 one-time on these facial elements.”
