“There’s nothing inherently evil or bad about a conservative mindset, I just think we’d like to have conservatives who aren’t fucking idiots.” The Daily Show the correspondent told the show’s host last month.

Chieng also compared the coverage of this year’s election night To The Daily Show to a slow-motion car crash that causes laughter from the audience.

Chieng is a senior correspondent at Comedy Central The Daily Showpreviously hosted by Trevor Noah, and starred in films such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, M3gan And Godzilla vs. Kong. He will release his third stand-up special, I love to hate it, on Netflix on December 17th.

But what about Chieng’s wife of eight years, Hannah Pham, who is successful in her own right? Here’s what you should know about the woman behind the successful comedian.

Her parents are Vietnamese

Pham was born in Melbourne, Australia to Vietnamese parents. In an August episode of The Daily ShowShe explained that her family were refugees who fled Ho Chi Minh City.

She studied at the University of Melbourne – where she met her future husband – and graduated with a degree in commerce and law.
