While John Travolta is one of Hollywood’s biggest and oldest stars, to his five siblings he is the baby of the family.

The Fat The now 70-year-old icon has three sisters Ellen, Ann and Margaret, as well as brothers Samuel and Joseph – and although John is the biggest star in the family, his siblings are no strangers to the spotlight either.

Given that Travolta’s matriarch, Helen Cecilia, was both an actress and a high school drama teacher, it’s no surprise that her children went on to become entertainment industry icons.

Ellen Travolta, 85

The eldest of the Travolta siblings, Ellen, shares her little brother’s love of acting – although to a lesser extent than his Hollywood career.

Ellen made a name for herself in sitcoms and starred in Happy days and the show’s spin-off Joanie loves Chachibut she also starred alongside John Fatwith a small gig as a waitress.

The brother-sister duo also shared the screen in the 1970s sitcom. Welcome back, Kotter.

Ellen continues to act to this day, producing and performing in the local theater where she lives in Idaho.

John is immensely proud of his older sister and says of her local performances: “I don’t think I missed any of the shows there.”

Ellen is the mother of a son, actor Tom Fridley, and a daughter, Molly Allen Ritter.

Sam Travolta, 80

John’s second eldest sibling, Sam Travolta, is also an actor, although less well known than John and Ellen, and appears in films with John, among others Wild boars in 2007, Swordfish in 2001 and Old dogs.

John’s eldest brother was struck by tragedy in 2020 when his son, Sam Travolta Junior, sadly died at the age of 52. John’s nephew was a screenwriter who previously revealed that his famous uncle gave him $1,800 in spending money to help him through difficult times.

His cause of death has not been released.

Margaret Travolta, 77

John’s sister Margaret has appeared in films alongside some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, including Tom Hanks and Leonardo Di Caprio Catch me if you can.

She also appeared in High fidelity with John Cusack and Jack Black, and While you were sleeping with Sandra Bullock and Bill Pullman

Margaret appeared on television NYPD Blue as Dr. Helen Boyd and so on Days of our lives as Sister Mary Margaret.

Margaret couldn’t be missing from John’s films and worked on them together with her brother Old dogs.

Ann Travolta, 75

As the youngest of the Travolta women, Ann worked alongside her brother Saturday Night Fever And Swordfishalthough she now devotes herself primarily to stage work and performing in The Wizard of Oz in 2015.

Ann also starred on stage alongside John in a Broadway production of “ FatShe worked as an understudy while her older brother took on the role of Doody.

Joseph Travolta, 74

Joseph Travolta, mostly known as Joey, is the closest in age to John. While earning a college degree in special education, Joey began a singing career in 1978 before moving into the family business of acting, including appearing in films Beverly Hills Cop III, Oscar And Susan’s planas well as on television shows like Movie stars.

Unlike his brothers and sisters, Joey preferred directing and combined his flair for being behind the camera with his passion for disability advocacy by founding the production company Inclusion Films in 2007, which works on projects with cast and crew members works with developmental disabilities.
