Mega Millions: 3 $10,000 Tickets Sold in Georgia, But No One Takes Home the Jackpot – WSB-TV Channel 2

ATLANTA – Three people woke up richer Wednesday morning after buying $10,000 in lottery tickets for the latest Mega Millions drawing.

While these three people took home some cash, no one hit all the numbers to win the $619 million jackpot.

According to the Georgia Lottery, one of those tickets was purchased online, one came from Kroger in Rome and the third came from Ellabell Food Mart in Ellabell, Georgia, near Savannah.

It has now been 26 consecutive drawings since someone won the Mega Millions jackpot on September 10, when the jackpot was $810 million.

The jackpot is now up to $670 million with a cash option of $317.8 million.

Your next opportunity to win big on Mega Millions is Friday night. Meanwhile, Powerball’s jackpot for Wednesday night’s drawing stands at $30 million.

In Georgia, winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. The most recent jackpot winner from Georgia was the $478.2 million Powerball jackpot in October.

The Georgia Lottery Corp. has made significant contributions to the state’s education programs since its inception, generating over $28.3 billion.

All winnings come from lottery support initiatives such as Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and the state’s Pre-K program.

More than 2.1 million students have benefited from HOPE scholarships and over 2 million four-year-olds have participated in the voluntary preschool program nationwide.
