Mega Millions winning numbers for 12/27/24: Jackpot of $1.22 billion

Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot rose to an estimated $1.22 billion in Friday’s drawing. According to the lottery, the jackpot was estimated to be $549.7 million after taxes.

The winning numbers were drawn just after 11pm ET on Friday, and we have the results below.

In March, a lucky Mega Millions player from New Jersey won a whopping $1.1 billion. After almost nine months of waiting, the winner finally received his prize.

How to play Mega Millions

To purchase a ticket, you’ll need to visit your local supermarket, gas station, or convenience store – and in a few states you can purchase tickets online.

To play you must select six numbers. Five numbers are white balls ranging from 1 to 70. The gold mega ball is a number between 1 and 25.

If you think the odds are stacked against you, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer then randomly generates the numbers for you.

Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-top prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn on Tuesday and Friday before the Mega Millions numbers.
