Micah Parsons leaves a cryptic tweet following the referees’ controversial decision in the Bears vs. Seahawks game

Micah Parsons couldn’t hide his displeasure after the referees called an offensive holding call that negated a Bears touchdown against the Seahawks. On Thursday Night Football on Boxing Day, the defense was dominant in the first half, but Caleb Williams created a magical moment.

He rolled out of the pocket and threw the ball to Rome Odunze on the run. With the Seahawks taking an early lead, it could have been the perfect comeuppance for the Bears.

However, the referees decided to recall the ball for offensive holding. Looking at the replay, it didn’t look like the lineman did much wrong against the pass rusher. However, the touchdown was still missed and Chicago lost 10 yards on that play instead of scoring six points.

Micah Parsons, who was clearly watching the game, appeared to disagree with the referees’ decision. He certainly felt like NFL officials lacked consistency as he reportedly didn’t get calls like that his way. He posted on X/Twitter and complained:

“I never get these calls.”

Referees rule out another Bears touchdown against the Seahawks after fouling Micah Parsons

Bears fans were willing to agree with Micah Parsons as he stopped them from taking the lead against the Seahawks. However, any anger would have turned to frustration in the second half after the referees again ruled out a touchdown after initially awarding it.

It came when Seattle was on offense, but the receiver fumbled the ball. Chicago’s defense picked it up and returned it for a touchdown. At first it was awarded by the officials. However, upon review, they discovered that the defender was on the ground due to contact and called the ball back. It was still the Bears’ ball, but the score remained 6-3.

Such decisions could have a big impact on the playoff picture. Chicago is already out of the playoffs, as are Micah Parsons’ Dallas Cowboys. However, Seattle is still fighting for the postseason and needed to win this game to keep its chances alive. With both offenses struggling on Thursday, the chances were slim and there was concern that a bad call from the referees could affect who would win.
