WWE is set for a historic night on Monday when its flagship show “WWE Raw” debuts on Netflix, becoming the first show ever to stream weekly on the service. “Raws” color commentator Pat McAfee hosted his show “The Pat McAfee Show” on ESPN live from the Inuit Dome in Los Angeles, California, where “Raw” airs live. McAfee had fellow Red Brand commentator Michael Cole on the show before “Raw,” and Cole explained that it was an emotional day for everyone behind the scenes and that he had just returned from a production meeting for the show.

“Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, our Chief Content Officer, gave us a lovely speech and is really, really excited. Very emotional, like all of us,” Cole explained. “This changes the game. Not just for professional wrestling and sports entertainment, it’s changing the game for all entertainment. WWE released the cold open ahead of the show with a look behind the history of wrestling, narrated by Levesque. The video features WWE and WCW legends such as Dusty Rhodes, Shawn Michaels and Cody Rhodes. The historic streaming debut of “Raw” will feature must-see matches including CM Punk vs. Seth “Freakin'” Rollins, Solo Sikoa vs. Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat Match and Rhea Ripley vs. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan in a Last Woman Standing match . WWE legends will also be in attendance at the show, including future Hall of Famer John Cena, who will be kicking off his 2025 retirement tour at the show.
