Mike Norvell angrily throws the Florida flag that was placed at midfield after the loss

Florida State lost the final game of its season Saturday night at home to Florida by a final score of 31-11.

The Seminoles finished their season at 2-10 after going 13-1 a season ago. The program was undoubtedly one of the biggest disappointments of the college football season.

As Florida State’s season came to a merciless end, several Gators players took it upon themselves to raise their team’s flag at midfield after their road win in Tallahassee. As expected, the Seminoles didn’t react too kindly to the gesture, and Florida State head coach Mike Norvell didn’t react too kindly either – he picked up the flag and angrily threw it across the field.

Norvell and Florida head coach Billy Napier exchanged a few words after the flag waving, but eventually shook hands and left the field. It didn’t seem that Norvell was too happy with the process.

As one of the most improved teams in the country, Napier and the Gators have a bowl game coming up in the final six weeks of the season.

It’s back to the drawing board for Norvell and the Seminoles to ensure a rivalry loss like this doesn’t happen again.
