Dayle Haddon, the Canadian supermodel who rose to fame through her work representing various cosmetics and magazine companies, died Friday of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. She was 76.

Haddon was found dead in a second-floor bedroom of a detached in-law suite in a home in the 6900 block of Phillips Mill Road in Solebury Township, Pennsylvania.

According to 6ABC News, the million-dollar home belongs to Haddon’s journalist daughter Ryan Haddon and his son-in-law, Hallmark actor Marc Blucas.

“The bright light that is Dayle has grown dim in this earthly realm,” Ryan wrote in a tribute Friday. “I have no doubt that I am shining as brightly as ever somewhere where it is needed most.

“She was a woman in her power, yet gentle and attentive to everyone. Deeply creative and curious, endowed with inner and outer beauty. Always friendly and attentive.”

First responders were called to the property just after 6:30 a.m. Friday after receiving reports of a 76-year-old man lying unconscious on the first floor of the suite, the Solebury Township Police Department said.

The unidentified man was removed from the building and taken to a nearby hospital before rescuers learned that the woman, later identified as Haddon, was still inside.

The model was discovered inside and pronounced dead at the scene.

Blucas and Ryan Haddon purchased the “old farmhouse” in 2012 for $1 million and completely restored the 1711 property, Blucas told Wide Open Country.

The New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company detected “high levels of carbon monoxide” at the property.

Two paramedics were taken to hospital due to exposure to the toxic gas and a police officer was treated at the scene for his injuries. All three were in stable condition, police said.

No one in the main building was injured. Police believed a heating system malfunction caused the high levels of carbon monoxide, CBS reported.

According to her website, Haddon signed four contracts with major cosmetics companies Revlon, Max Factor, Estée Lauder and L’Oréal during her modeling career.

She has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan.

The longtime L’Oréal spokesperson is credited with representing the brand throughout Europe, China and North America during its 15-plus year campaign.

She appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1973.

“She held up so many, recognized that her greatness was sometimes hidden from them, and always built bridges with her own connections to help them rise,” Ryan said. She was everyone’s greatest champion. An inspiration for many.

“I always trust the timing of things. There are no accidents and certainly how we enter and leave this world is mystical and unknowable. She was a generous spiritual being who valued the development of her soul, so I know that her journey here in this dimension must have been complete.”

Haddon was a UNICEF ambassador and founded the New York-based charity WomenOne, whose goal is to give every girl in the world access to quality education.

She is the author of two books: “Ageless Beauty” and “The 5 Principles of Ageless Living.”

Haddon’s last Instagram post on December 19 promoted her appearance on the “Shift Happens” podcast with Claudia Mahler, where she discussed “How to Gracefully Defeat Ageism in Fashion.”
