Salah made the comments after Liverpool beat Leicester 3-1 on Thursday to move seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah said he sensed something different in the club’s performance as English Premier League leaders this season after securing a 3-1 comeback win over Leicester City to move seven points clear.

Leicester took a surprise sixth-minute lead through Jordan Ayew on Thursday, but goals from Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones and Salah turned the tide at Anfield.

Liverpool are now clear favorites for the title, but have had to falter in similar positions before, most notably in the 2018/19 season when they had a sizeable lead but ultimately finished behind Manchester City.

“It feels different, but the most important thing is that we have to stay humble,” Salah, who leads the league with 16 goals, told Amazon Prime on Thursday.

“When we were in the lead we had a few injuries and we ended up losing it. Hopefully we can continue like this without any injuries and win the game.

“This one is very special. Hopefully we win the Premier League for this club – that’s my dream.”

Liverpool next face West Ham United on Sunday before hosting Manchester United on January 5.
