Mohamed Salah said he is confident Liverpool can win the Premier League title this season, saying this campaign feels “different”.

Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is in his first season at Anfield, although he could equal Jurgen Klopp’s feat by giving the club the league title after going seven points clear with a 3-1 win over Leicester City on Thursday had.

Liverpool have been denied the title several times in recent seasons by Pep Guardiola’s imperious Manchester City teams. However, City have been far from their best this season with Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Arsenal currently their main rivals for the title.

Regarding his future at Liverpool, the Egyptian striker avoided a question asking for an update on his contract situation. As things stand, he will be free from January 1st to talk to other clubs about a free transfer in the summer.
