Morgan Wallen is grateful to his fans after his big win at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards.

The country music star won four awards at the awards show, which aired Thursday on FOX, including top country artist, top male artist, top country artist and top collaboration for his song “I Had Some Help.” Post Malone.

During his acceptance speech, which appeared to have been recorded, Wallen expressed how grateful he was to his fans for always giving his music a “chance.”

“I just wanted to thank everyone who has supported me along the way and, as always, my fans,” he said. “You guys have just given me so much freedom to make the music I want to make.”

He continued: “Whether it’s a song that sounds similar to something I’ve put out in the past or whether it’s something completely different, you’ve always just given it a chance, at least given it, and that’s all, whatever I can ask for.” I just want to thank you for treating my music this way. I hope to come back next year and take on more, but for now I really appreciate it.

Wallen was nominated for 15 awards in 13 different categories after taking home 11 awards at last year’s awards show.

Before the awards ceremony aired, Wallen pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment in a courtroom Thursday afternoon Fox 17. The charges are related to an April incident in which Wallen threw a chair from the sixth-floor bar at Eric Church, Chief’s, in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was originally charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor and three counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, but his charges were reduced to misdemeanors during a hearing Tuesday.

Judge Cynthia Chappell sentenced Wallen to seven days in a DUI training center and two years of supervised probation.

“Today (12/12/24), Morgan Wallen appeared in Davidson County Circuit Court with Judge Cynthia Chappell presiding, where he entered a conditional plea, which will not result in conviction, pursuant to Tennessee’s Diversion Statute,” said Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson said in a statement shared with Fox News Digital.

“The plea agreement with prosecutors requires Mr. Wallen to spend seven days in a DUI training center, be on probation for two years – one year for each of the misdemeanor reckless endangerment charges – pay a $350 fine and go to court After successfully completing his probation, the charges can be dismissed and expunged.

“Mr Wallen has cooperated fully with authorities over the past eight months, communicating directly with and apologizing to all those involved. Mr. Wallen remains committed to making a positive impact through his music and his foundation.”
