Morning fog will give way to mostly cloudy afternoon skies on Wednesday.

EVENT HAS BECOME. How sweet is that? And we’ve been keeping an eye on Santa Claus, right here we’re keeping an eye on him as he travels around the world delivering presents. YOU CAN SEE WE HAVE TRACKED HIM SO FAR. 5 BILLION GIFTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED THIS EVENING. He is currently moving through Canada. >> THIS IS A LIFE FOR A STREAM, IS COURTESY OF OUR FRIENDS AT NORAD WHO HAVE BEEN DOING THIS REALLY COOL THING WHERE THEY TRACK SANTA’S MOVES AROUND THE WORLD FOR SEVERAL YEARS. SO THAT CHILDREN AND THE TIME ZONES IN GEOGRAPHY ARE CALCULATED. AND WHAT OTHER PARTS OF THE WORLD LOOK LIKE. SO REALLY SOMETHING FUN THAT YOU CAN WATCH FROM HOME NOW. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A POP ON YOUR HOME COMPUTER, RUN TO DINNER WITH THE FAMILY TONIGHT AND I SHOWED THIS TO YOU, SHOW IT TO THE KIDS. I was like a look. You can see that they were so amazed by this, but Santa Claus is coming here. >> He may have a few foggy areas, two contests with early mornings. IS YOUR CHRISTMAS DAY FORECAST. >> There is a possibility of fog for some, especially around sunrise. And once we reach the hour of sunrise, the forecast more or less revolves around the possibility that it will be cloudy at times. We don’t expect much rain tomorrow and temperatures will be slightly above seasonal average in the afternoon. CLIMB BACK INTO THE UPPER 70S SHORTLY AFTER LUNCH. FOG IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST OFFER FOR US. TOMORROW IS WHAT YOU DON’T THINK. It somehow didn’t hinder the outdoor plans. BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THE FOG FUTURE CAST MODELS HERE YOU WILL SEE WHAT IT IS CLOSEST AROUND THE SUNRISE. OUR SUN RISE SHORTLY AFTER 7 AM AT THIS TIME OF YEAR. So if the sun rises for two hours, we should mix the atmosphere enough to get rid of any fog that might form early Wednesday morning. This is the view over LEE COUNTY. THIS IS THE VIEW OVER THE REGION. It’s a very similar story. ANY PLACE YOU CHANCE TO CALL HOME WHAT OUR FOG LOOKS LIKE WILL LIKELY DEVELOP IN INLAND AREAS NEAR THE INTERSTATE AND EAST OF THE INTERSTATE OR EARLY MORNING. It will be at its most tense around the hour of sunrise and again within an hour or two of sunrise, and that should mix the atmosphere enough to improve visibility, at least to just above the Earth’s surface where the fog forms something else. However, we must be careful that tomorrow is not necessarily about what happens directly above the Earth’s surface, but about what happens a few 300 meters in the air. If you look at the water vapor satellite here, there’s some dry air north of us. BUT THAT WILL NOT PLAY A ROLE IN OUR CHRISTMAS. Instead, we need to look to the west of us into these areas where you can see the whites and the greens shown in their mask, where there is a little more water vapor in the middle levels of the atmosphere. The lab says that over the last 6 hours you will see the winds in this part of the atmosphere blowing more from the southwest. AND THIS IS WHAT WILL BE PUSHED ONTO THE PENINSULA TOMORROW. ALTHOUGH THE FOG WILL ONLY BE A PROBLEM FOR US IN SOME AREAS IN THE FIRST HOURS OF THE DAY DUE TO THE MORNINGS THAT HAPPEN IN THE MID ATMOSPHERE. THIS WILL BE A COVER OF CLOUDS PRESSING OUR DIRECTION AS WE MOVE OVER THE AFTERNOON. So don’t get me wrong. IT’S NOT A TERRIBLE FORECAST FOR TOMORROW, BUT IT’S NOT WALL TO WALL SUNSHINE. Although the temperatures will be quite mild for this time of year. We expect cloud cover to play a role in our forecast throughout the day. MORNING. We’re not expecting much rain, but it’s not impossible that we’ll see a widely isolated shower or 2. However, it doesn’t appear that it will be too big for the city of Deir El to have any outdoor plans. And that includes tomorrow night’s Cape Coral Hanukkah celebration at the Chabad of Cape Coral for the first night of Hanukkah. This is located directly on Cape Coral Parkway during the event. Temperatures should be in the low 70s. All in all, things aren’t looking too bad for us on Wednesday evening. THE FORECAST GOES AFTER CHRISTMAS DAY AND AFTER THE FIRST OF HANUKKAH UNTIL THURSDAY, WE SHOULD SEE DECENT CLOUDY COVERAGE AGAIN. BUT HERE SOMETHING BETTER CHANCES FOR SOME SOLID SHOWERS. AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT REMAINS IN THE FORECAST. NOT JUST ON THURSDAY, BUT FOR FRIDAY AND A LARGE PART OF THE NEXT WEEKEND. While the likelihood of rain again is forecast here, you don’t see a major or prolonged cooldown coming soon. At least it looks like our temperatures will remain somewhat seasonal AF through the end of 2024
